About PSPRC - Bringing Responders Together

The PSPRC website is a virtual forum offered to support the collaborative efforts of Canadian frontline emergency response and public safety agencies. It provides an internet-based facility for like-interested public safety organizations to work together toward enhancing the effective delivery of public safety services in Canada. The website focuses on the conduct of research and the pursuit of developmental science and technology such that public safety organizations are able to meet emerging challenges in an environment of constant and rapid change.

We Are Growing

The website seeks to collate, consolidate and make available the outputs of collaborative work efforts so that maximum benefit can be derived through sharing them across jurisdictions. Success in this work will streamline efforts and assist public safety organizations to achieve increased standardization and interoperability. It will also contribute toward maximizing the return on investment realized by collaborating partners.

Visitors will notice that it is under considerable development. In the future, PSPRC aims to address recognized needs for:

  • a comprehensive emergency service information repository
  • a virtual home for public safety practitioner-based Communities of Practice
  • a national Responder Alerting Mechanism

The Canadian CBRNE Recommended Equipment List (REL)

The REL is an inaugural, collaborative product for broad distribution via the PSPRC website. It has been created by public safety partners and is presented here as a tool for Canadian police, fire, emergency medical services and the communities they serve.
